Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) requirements for 2026-27
We would like to inform you of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) requirements for the 2026–27 season.
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has announced the updated Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) measures for the 2026–27 season. These measures apply to goods shipped from 1 September 2026 and arriving in Australia by 30 April 2027 (inclusive).
Key Changes for the 2026-27 Season:
- Introduction of a new onshore BMSB treatment option – Ethyl Formate
- Removal of the Rolled Goods Policy
- Removal of the Safeguarding Scheme
