TERMINAL DISRUPTIONS ACROSS AUSTRALIA

Please be advised that multiple terminal disruptions are occurring across Australia. GAVA Australia has compiled the latest updates on the disruptions currently affecting several major Australian ports

Key Updates:

Melbourne:
  • Terminal: DP World West Swanson
  • Issue: Terminal closed due to MUA stop work on Tuesday 25th November 2025 between 06:00 – 13:00 (AEST)

  • Issue Impact:

    • Timeslots have been cancelled between 04:00 – 14:00 on Tuesday 25th November 2025 

    • No containers can be collected from the terminal during these times.

 

  • Terminal: Patrick Terminal East Swanson

  • Issue: Terminal closed due to MUA stop work on Tuesday 25th November 2025 between 10:00 – 14:00 (AEST)

  • Issue Impact:  

    • Timeslots have been cancelled between 10:00  – 14:00 on Tuesday 25th November 2025

    • No containers can be collected from the terminal during these times.

Sydney:
  • Terminal: DP World West Swanson
  • Issue: Terminal closed due to MUA stop work on Tuesday 25th November 2025 between 06:00 – 13:00 (AEST)

Brisbane:
  • Terminal: Hutchinson Ports Brisbane
  • Issue: Terminal closed due to MUA stop work on Tuesday 25th November 2025 between 06:00 – 11:00 (AEST)

  • Issue Impact:
    • Timeslots have been cancelled between 06:00 – 11:00 on Tuesday 25th November 2025
    • No containers can be collected from the terminal during these times.
 
 
  • Terminal: DP World Brisbane
  • Issue: Terminal closed critical power infrastructure to four of our Automated Stacking Cranes at our Brisbane terminal has been damaged during civil works, resulting in power disruption and significant delays to container movements.
  • Issue Commencement: 20th November 2025 @ 12.00pm (AEST)
  • Issue Impact:  
    • An early estimation is that we expect the impacts of this outage to extend for 48 hours.
    • No containers can be collected from the terminal during these times.

 

Once normal terminal trading hours resume, terminals may encounter delays in landside operations. These could include longer vessel turnaround times, slower container discharge processes, increased terminal waiting periods, and a shortage of available time slots relative to demand, all of which may disrupt delivery schedules.
