Port Congestion Update: Delays at Shanghai and Ningbo
We would like to inform you of significant congestion currently affecting operations at the ports of Shanghai and Ningbo. This disruption is due to the aftermath of last week’s Typhoon Co-May in Shanghai and an equipment failure involving a key crane at Ningbo.
As of now, over 1 million TEUs are waiting to berth, leading to substantial delays. Please anticipate shipment delays of approximately 7 to 14 days for cargo departing from these ports.
In addition, some carriers are actively omitting southern Chinese ports, including Xiamen, in an effort to recover their schedules.
We appreciate your understanding and will continue to monitor the situation closely to provide timely updates.
